What is Qigong? ⁘
The ancient forms of Medical Qigong and the healing ‘exercise’ known as Qigong are an essential part of the Chinese Medicine system as a whole. Qi-pronounced ‘Chi’ means vital energy or life force, thus Qigong can be defined as the skilled movement of the vital life force or Universal energy in action. The more one practices Qigong, the more one can feel the cultivated power in its’ usage. One could consider it a miraculous display of energy because it can be harnessed to help heal yourself and others. Of course this Qi can be wielded over a lifetime with more momentum and control with practice. It can be used with other modalities (techniques) from both the West and East, i.e., Therapeutic Massage, Chiropractic, Yoga, Reflexology, Meditation, Energy Medicine, Counseling, etc.. So even though these powerful practices were created over 4,000 years ago, they have an integral place in modern healthcare and self-care.

Qigong is all about the movement and length of the breath and its infinite capacity for healing the Mind/Body/System. It can be used by anyone and it greets you at any skill level or age in your life..It has been used for rehabilitation of injuries as well as just a basic exercise for strengthening and lengthening the posture, hormone regulation, anti-aging or even as a moving or non-moving meditation as a stand alone.. It will add quality to your life as it enhances all of the systems of the body, especially the nervous, circulatory, respiratory, and immune systems. One can move lymphatic fluid, revitalize brain function, as well as improve the skin and muscle tone. It has helped me clear blockages in my physical and mental structure and old behavior patterns that hindered me. It has helped me and it will definitely help you live a more balanced and harmonious life!
There was never a better time to get into a regular routine of Qigong-balancing the Yin(feminine) /Yang(Masculine)- energies in your system to ward off any imbalances presently or in the future.
